Wedding Songs
I've found that brides view the idea of a play list two different ways. One is that she wants to be a part of the music selection because it's her wedding and she know's what she like's and she doesn't want any corny songs played. To which I say, great! Then the other common reaction I see is you're the professional and probably know what are the best songs for the dance floor. To which also say, great!
Are you getting married and having your wedding reception in the Orange County area? If so, please click here to check our availability.

I actually think a blend of both generally work out best for a wedding reception. I think my job is to have you select all of your favorite songs and blend them together in a way that I think works based on what I've been able to see happen on your dance floor throught the evening.
Yes, a a wedding dj for a while now, I know many of the popular songs that generally get a crowd up on the dance floor.
At least in Orange County, if I have a group of people who like old classic rock and roll I could play (as long as the bride has selected several of these songs as her favorite) Old Time Rock and Roll, Pretty Woman, Woolly Bully, Satisfaction, Twist and Shout and La Bamba.
I see every weekend that if some of those songs are suggested that many of the other songs keep people on the dance floor. But I'll only there if the bride is comfortable with those kinds of songs. It is really important that the music at your wedding reflect what you like first, and then what I have seen over the years has worked. I believe your wedding reception song requests should always come first. After all, women own the dance floor.
Before each wedding I always make sure that I have the latest hip hop songs. I've found that in the Orange County area, that the play list from power 106 FM is a good indicator of what people are listening to locally. So, about a week before your wedding I'll visit the Power 106 FM web site to make sure that I have all the latest songs that you of your guests request.
So for most Orange County wedding receptions, I say let's play all of your favorite songs from your top play list and let me figure out how to put them together so your dance floor is talked about by all your friends on Monday morning.
As a wedding dj my focus is on giving you what you want. I am not here to change your mind or convince you that I know best. I'm here to listen to what you want and put it together in such a way that at the end of the night you say, "thank you, you gave me a wedding that I have dreamed about forever".
Let me as a wedding dj work my magic with all of your favorite songs.

![]() Art and Isabel, We want to thank you for helping make our wedding so great. It couldn’t of been any better; it was exactly what we wanted and so much more. You guys blew us away, everything was perfect your equipment sounded so good. So many people at the wedding comented on the way you were so personal with everything and made the night so fun. Everyone is still talking about the Humpty dance song the our friend sang. We were both so impressed with all the extra effort you guys put in. The song selection was awesome and fit perfect. Thank you. Thank you for everything Sincerely, Brad and Courtney Daugherty ------------
From the very beginning, Art did a wonderful job
of making us feel comfortable with the services he provides. He took time
to explain what he could offer us, and in each phase of planning, ensured
that the direction we were moving in was consistent with our vision for
the day. ------------
Thank you Art!! You and Isabel made a HUGE contribution to the success of the event, everyone had such a great time singing AND dancing to the rockin’ tunes!!! Grant and I both loved the music and the narration and our names up on the wall, and Isabel was so nice to let Terri use her microphone for the line dance. Thank you so much for everything!!! Alison Kuhn -------
You guys did an awesome job! Everybody really enjoyed
themselves at our wedding, and we received many many compliments on "our
DJ". The playlist was PERFECT, and it was awesome how you were able
to set the right mood and keep the energy flowing! We would definitely
recommend your services in the future, and without a doubt love to have
you again. Chris and Jessica Leslie ------------
Art,
Thank you so much for making our wedding celebration a day to remember. We have been to weddings before were the DJ was not memorable and we have to say YOU were awesome. We have people still calling us today telling us that the wedding was the best they ever been to, and that our DJ was the best they have ever heard at any wedding. You are wonderful at what you do and you were so easy and laidback to work with that with all the other plans that go into a wedding, working with you was a breeze. We know that there was a lot of specific songs that we wanted to be played and we are so appreciative for you finding the unusually ones that we requested. We are sure we will see you again in the future. Going with Art The DJ, you just can’t go wrong.
Thank you so much,
Matthew & Marissa Veronesi
